Our Charities
AlphaCards is committed to charitable causes and we are delighted to have entered into formal donation arrangements with two charities, The World Land Trust and SOS Children’s Villages. Our commitment to them and the donations we have made are acknowledged in their kind permission for us to include them in this page, and to provide links between our sites. Currently all income AlphaCards receives is committed to these charities.
SOS Children's Villages - the world's largest orphan charity

For 60 years, SOS Children has created and run villages and community projects in 123 countries around the world, helping some of the world's most vulnerable children. Regardless of race, religion or culture, children are given an SOS mother and a home in one of the 473 SOS Children's Villages, where they are cared for until they are old enough to lead their own independent lives. SOS Children provides these children and young people with the skills, support and healthcare they need to become contributing members of society.
SOS Children currently cares directly for more than 70,000 orphaned or abandoned children and also, by working with local communities, supports almost 1 million vulnerable children and their families through child care provision, counseling, medical advice, emergency relief, microfinancing and vocational skills training.
We chose to support SOS Children’s Villages as we want to contribute to a worldwide effort to restore and rebuild the lives of children whose futures have been so badly affected by circumstances often entirely outside of their comprehension.
"We are delighted that AlphaCards have chosen the world's largest orphan charity, SOS Children, as their preferred children's charity to support and wish them well in their provision of electronic greeting cards to the public" - Dr Kathie Neal, Director of Fundraising, SOS Children

The World Land Trust

The World Land Trust is an international conservation organisation that takes direct action to save rainforest and other biologically important lands by buying them, acre by acre. The wilderness areas they buy are protected indefinitely as private reserves owned and managed by local organisations for the benefit of both wildlife and people.
We chose to support World Land Trust as the protection of our planet is one of the most important issues of today and it complements our aim to reduce the amount of paper cards sent around the world each year.
John Burton, Chief Executive, of the World Land Trust comments:
“World Land Trust is delighted to welcome AlphaCards as a new company sponsor. Recognising the importance of reducing the use of paper, we are pleased to accept donations from a forward-thinking company who are promoting high standards of environmental responsibility.”

When you choose to send AlphaCards you are helping us to support these causes.
